I find it rather unusual that the creators of most GED practice books and manuals generally assume that all of their prospective clients have been exposed to the basic materials from which they base their testing and practice materials upon. Having worked in the field of developmental and intellectual disabilities for the better part of 51 years, I know that such GED developers could not be more wrong, when it comes to my field. Therefore, this is an original attempt to provide an introduction to the basics they will need to begin the GED process.

 

I expect that caregivers will work directly with individual students one-on-one and read with them the enclosed materials, stopping very frequently to discuss and analyze and describe the materials and answer any and all questions that students bring up.
